That's fine: In nature, babies eat whenever they are hungry. If a young baby nurses for 5-10 minutes on each breast, and then happily sleeps a couple of hours, that is fine... As long as the baby is growing. After the first week of life, a baby will grow about 1 ounce per day for a few weeks. If worried about not having enough milk, mom and baby can just see the pediatrician to check on the weight and feeding.
