Hard to know: If you did a pregnancy test when your period was late, then you'd know whether you were pregnant or not. Now with the heavy bleeding, that could mean a miscarriage, or it may mean that you were not pregnant, had hormonal changes as the cause of the missed period, and the hormonal changes caused the bleeding. If you see your doctor now, he/she may be able to figure it out.
