OTC pregnancy tests: Urine pregnancy test are very accurate and can detect pregnancy within 10 days of a missed period or at about five weeks gestation from a last menstrual period. If a patient had amenorrhea (no menses for more than six months) other testing needs to be performed to rule out other causes of missed periods. Rather than use multiple kits simply wait 10 days and retest.
