Break through bleed: Bcp's work in your own bodies hormone system to stop fertilization of an egg or implantation of a fertilized egg. Since your own hormones can be thrown off by many factors (ie. Wt gain or loss, sickness, changes in sleep, changes in exercise level, stress) these can also effect your cycle on birth control.
