My friend stepped on a cockroach in the same room as me, is it possible for their eggs to spread on to me or my shoes?

Not likely: While it is certainly possible to contaminate your feet on a cockroach or its eggs, it is highly unlikely than any egg would survive on your feet or in your shoes. To be safe, wash your feet with soap and water and take alcohol and clean out your shoes. That should be enough to more than protect you.
