A member asked:

Yes my gramps has artritis really bad but that gives him no excuse to not play catch does it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Poor granpa: Arthritis is painful joints especially on motion. Gramps might be on medication to lessen the pain, but significant exercise can worsen the pain. It might actually prevent the ability to do the ball throwing altogether. Let gramps be the judge as he wants to be a good grandpa in your eyes, but you should not feel bad about him if he declines this activity. It is not an excuse.
