Options: The least expensive procedure would probably be to have the tooth taken out, which if it's salvageable and you elect to have it removed will probably be the most expensive option over time. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. Find out your options and then choose wisely. Then, first chance you get, have a complete dental checkup. It's always smarter ; less expensive to find and fix things early.

Diagnosis: Once the problem is diagnosed, then treatment can be recommended. It can be as simple as a cleaning, or as extensive as root canal therapy. You'll have to visit a local dentist to be evaluated, and then you can determine if the procedures fall within your budget.

Effective: You have a serious and severe infection that will only get worse with time and can cause serious localized damage and can spread through your circulatory system to other organ systems. This needs immediate treatment by a professional. You should be seeking the most effective treatment. The most inexpensive treatment may not resolve your infection. Please call your Dentist, NOW!

What is expensive?: The first step would be to get on antibiotics to get the infection under control. I would advise seeing a dentist to evaluate the source of the infection and treat accordingly.

See a dentist: See a dentist for treatment. This is less costly than ignoring it and letting it get worse.
