Can a medication abortion be mistaken as a miscarrige in a hospital?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If you don't tell: Clinically medication abortion and miscarriage can look the same unless you give the history that you medicated yourself to have an abortion. Medical abortion is done by giving abortion pil containing Misoprostol and Mifepristone given at 8weeks pregnancy, and can sometimes cause excessive bleeding and that may need hospitalisationand it may clinically look like a miscarriage unless you tell them.
