Doubtful: Strep c is not a common infection we see in the vagina. Although it is related to group b strep which we do worry about much more in pregnancy, a quick search of the literature does not seem to show anything about strep c being a threat to a pregnancy. Group b strep we test for in the third trimester to assess need for antibiotics during labor to prevent the newborn from getting infected and sick.
