Not recommended: Clotrimazole vaginal and topical preparations are fda pregnancy risk category b.Vaginal use during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters in has not resulted in any adverse effects; use in the 1st trimester has not been adequately studied and is not recommended. In animal studies, there was no fetal harm following administration of intravaginal doses up to 100 mg/kg in pregnant rats.
