Fissure/hemorrhoids: You may have an anal fissure; this is a small tear of the mucosa. Or hemorrhoids. Both can be caused by constipation or passing hard stools. Fissures can heal by themselves after a few weeks. The most important thing is to treat the constipation. Drink plenty of fluids, increase the fiber in your diet, eat more fruits and vegetables. If it is hemorrhoids you can try an otc cream.
