Yes, the same.: The Venefit and vnus closure procedure are the same. The name was changed when a company purchased vnus technologies several years ago. This treatment continues to be the gold standard treatment for varicose veins and venous insufficiency.

Same company: Vnus closure was the first company, using three prong catheter heating up to 85 degrees c. This company was bought out by another company, and the updated catheter heats up 7 cm tip 120 degrees c. The company recently changed the procedure name to Venefit. The vnus closurefast procedure (old name) is the same as Venefit.

Closure procedures: There are many types of closure procedures and many companies that sell closure procedure products. Vnus closure is done with radiofrequency and the company was taken over by another company and the procedure is now called Venefit but it is essentially the same RF closure.
