Diet: A diet that does not promote tooth decay is also extremely important as well as routine 6 month dental check-ups and following recommendations given to you by your dentist. Avoid refined sugars and foods that contain sticky sugars and starches and liquids high in sugars and acids.

Use fluoridated mouthwash. In addition to flossing daily, use a water-pik daily. Don't chew on ice, hard candy. Limit snacks that are high in sugars and starches.
