Dr. Ionel Rad answered

Check with MD: Malignant hyperthermia is a rare disease that has been only described in patients who received either a muscle relaxant or inhalational agents such as sevoflourane. The website www.Mhaus.Org is dedicated to diagnosis and treatment of mh. Sedatives are not known to trigger mh. As far as overall safety of sedative , the physician writing the prescription can make that determination.
