Ok for what ?: Xanax (alprazolam) has a short half life- and will be fully metabolized and excreted from your body in a few days. Hopefully this was prescribed by a physician and you can prove to who ever is drug testing you that you are taking the medicine under supervision and not using it recreationally. Good luck.

Odds are favorable : It depends on the sensitivity of the screening test. It also depends on your overall health, condition of your liver and whether or not other drugs are competing for metabolism. In general, the shorter acting benzodiazepines are cleared from the body within a week. Barring any additional use of Xanax, (alprazolam) the chances are good that the screen will be negative. Hope this helps.
