Heartbeat that has a double beat with second beat causing a "thump" in chest then a pause. not a double beat, pause then a "thump" like pvcs. cause?

Extra beats: Extra beats (pacs top part of the heart or pvcs bottom part of the heart) in most cases are normal. What you are feeling are "compensatory pauses". You will need blood tests for thyroid function, anemia, electrolyte panel, ECG to confirm. Finally an echocardiogram if ECG finds excessive pvcs.
