If ringworm spreads enough, can parts of the rash not be in a ring shape? some parts are rings, others just large patches. mostly on upper torso area

Rarely: Ringworm grows relatively slowly, and it would be unlikely to be in "large patches." also, the center may start to look almost normal, but the edges are usually raised and look a little pimply, and the ring is usually complete.
