Painless cyst: It sounds like a benign ganglion cyst, which is round and palpable. It commonly appears in ankle and wrist where the tendon is rubbing under the fibrous band. It usually goes away after a few weeks. It could be treated by needle aspiration, but it may return especially after repetitive movement of your foot.
