Check: Would suggest an ekg. However your symptoms could be related to heart burn or acid reflux if relayed to food.

See a doctor: A sensation of irregular heart beat is a concern and needs to be checked out. A doctor can order tests to determine if your heart is beating irregularly, and if so, the nature of the arrhythmia. Treatment, if needed, can correct or control the problem.

Possibly: You should certainly have this evaluated further. It would be helpful to obtain long term rhythm monitoring with a Holter monitor or a longer term monitor. You would want to try to reproduce your symptoms while wearing the cardiac rhythm monitor so that the arrhythmia you experience can be evaluated further. You may be require additional tests or medications depending on what is found.
