Variable: Hpv is a virus that has many serotypes and there is no way to determine. There are strains that are aggressive and strains that are not. There are many factors that go into whether you will develop clinical symptoms such as diabetes, HIV status, inoculation volume, and the strength of your immune system. All one can do is to be preventative and have regular checkups and exams.

HPV possible: Not all hpv infections are symptomatic. Infection itself takes place very rapidly. However most hpv infections have burnt out after a year or two. Suggest you get a pap test from your gyn doctor. This could demonstrate "atypical cells" in which case you are at rist for cancer of the cervix.
