Fast Heart Beat: Prolonged standing in line can pool blood towards the legs and hence result in relative dehydration and low blood pressure. Both of these can result in fast heart beat and dizziness. Anxiety and hyperventilation can also have these symptoms. If symptoms persist despite maintaining hydration and breathing calmly then medical attention should be sought.
