Many options: First, you must take iron to replace the iron you are losing each month. It really depends on why your bleeding is heavy. Birth control pill, nuvaring, and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud can all lessen your bleeding. So can depoprovera shots. Many women have fibroid tumors causing their bleeding. These might require surgery. There are also other medical/surgical options. Talk to your gynecologist.
