Yes possible: Genera anesthesa can leave you feeling weak and somnolent. This may make you temp. Depressed. Also hospital stays along with bed rest may increanse depression. Once anesthesia clears your system, you should feel less depressed. Why not discuss this with your dr.

Usually not: I have seen patients get very emotional after waking up but that is very limited and passes.
