Yellow eyes: Jaundice is a result of elevated bilirubin in the blood. Bilirubin is a breakdown product of hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood. Bilirubin is yellow. If the liver is not working well, bilirubin (yellow in color) accumulates in the blood and can be seen in the whites of the eyes. Call your primary doctor for a complete physical and testing.
