"resetting" a bone: may mean just manipulation with either local or regional or general anesthesia if it is early on, may involve making a small incision to clean out the fracture healing that has begun, or may actually involve cutting or sawing the bone. In these cases there usually is a need for internal iixation , ie screws pins or plates
