Sleep positions: Great sleep can happen in any number of ways. Rigid surfaces like a hard floor can be helpful for those who require back support more then usual. Try to be careful not to get too much pressure on one spot to avoid bruises.

Perhaps: sleeping on that hard surface helped to align your body. I used to date a Marine who only felt comfortable sleeping on the floor.

Low blood oxygen : These are typical signs of sleep apnea, a condition which involve periods of ten seconds or more without breathing (apnea) and periods of time with shallow breathing and a significant decrease in blood oxygen levels (hypopnia). Laying flat on the floor may actually encourage an open airway that minimizes the number of apneas and hypopneas.
