Infection: Vaginal odor may be caused by 'bacterial vaginosis' which is an overgrowth of (anaerobic) bacteria that already lives in the vagina (not an std). It is best to get checked for this infection or any other infection: need to rule out gonorrhea/chlamydia/trich etc.. An antibiotic may help cure this infection. Hope you are better soon!

These infections should be treated to prevent scarring of the female genetal tract. Candida is common. Usually you have a white vaginal discharge. Bacterialvaginosis is also common and can be diagnosed and treated by your doctor.
