Depends: Classic pink eye in children and adults is a viral condition, contagious, best treated with lubricating eye drops and warm soaks. Isolate the child/adult and items which contact the eye secretions to lower spread. Your ophthalmologist can tell you if it is bacterial in which case antibiotics can also be given. If the vision is unaffected, these will clear in 3-10 days mostly.
