Probably not.: Staphylococcus skin infections are typically localized to the skin and pose no risk to unborn babies -- but the infection needs to be treated before it can cause any harm to you. See your obstetrician.

Can't reach it: Only infections that enter your blood or travel up the birth canal can get to the baby. Staph skin infections do not.Vaginal infections would generally never have a chance to get through to baby unless the bag of waters was leaking. Take care of yourself & you/baby will be fine.
