Varies: It all depends on the extent of the fracture. Some teeth can be restored with a simple restoration, others will need root canal therapy and a crown. Some vertically fractured teeth are hopeless and require extraction. This tooth cannot be evaluated over the internet... You need to call a local dentist for an appointment.

Cracked Teeth: can cause Cracked Tooth Syndrome (when pressure is applied) if the proximity of the crack already approached the nerve. If it is merely crazing of the enamel, your dentist can recommend a taylor made mouthguard just for you if there is some grinding problem. Your treatment will be based on proper diagnosis and prognosis.

See your dentist: Treatment for a cracked tooth depends on the size and location of the crack and the symptoms you are experiencing. See your dentist for evaluation, x-rays and treatment options.
