Further eval: If your heart is skipping fast you should first assess whether or not you are sick from some noncardiac condition such as infection, diarrheal illness etc. Then, exclude other factors such as excessive caffeine intake, sinus meds containing pseudoephedrine, or other meds that can make heart race. Recreational drugs can also do this. If none of this pertains then best to get checked out by a doc.
