Transient issue: For minor levels of anemia in kids there are some mild developmental delays that seem to be transient if the problem is addressed soon enough.Since the brain continues development for ~ 25 yrs, there is time to correct early delays.If anemia persists long term it can rob the child of some of their thinking capacity & proficiency. Profound anemia is life threatening.
