No: If you want to whiten your teeth, don't waste you money on toothpaste, make an appointment with your dentist, get your teeth and gums checked out, and talk to the dental professionals about what you want your teeth to look like. They will make sure you know all the aspects of why your teeth are discolored, and how that can be rectified.

Moderately: Whitening toothpastes are only modestly effective. Best bang for your buck is to have Dentist do the whitening. As an Orthodontist I don't whiten teeth, but best results seen when my patients work with their Dentists for esthetic correction.
