Oil pulling: In my opinion, this is a waste of time.

Probably not. : Apparently it's supposed to remove toxins. Pesticides, mercury, lead, antibiotics, etc can all be taken in in the diet and are difficult to remove. Best to not take them in. Then there are the imaginary toxins that companies scare you with so you will buy their expensive detox product -- these are fake. Dont buy it! eat healthy, stay hydrated. Avoid constipation and your body will do the rest.
Dr. Arnold Malerman

Unproven: Efficacy is unproven. We know brushing and flossing works improve oral health, and that takes about 5 minutes/day. Most people, unfortunately, are unwilling to invest that 5 minutes/day. Oil pulling requires swishing with oil 20 minutes 2x/day, or a total of 40 minutes/day. And the efficacy is undocumented. Oil pulling will not hurt, but I doubt that it helps, even with full compliance.
