A member asked:

What are my options if tretinoin/retin-a is not working?

Add a second Rx: Often an antibiotic, topical or systemic, can be added. Never use an antibiotic all by itself for acne. For a woman, spironolactone or the oral contraceptive pill may clear the disease. Isotretinoin is for the toughest cases and isn't for the faint-hearted but is hugely effective.
