Infertility: Up to one-third of adults who undergo fertility testing after having been treated for cancer in childhood or adolescence have suspected infertility. Patients and their parents should be counseled about the possibility of infertility and about fertility-preserving measures.

Depends on treatment: We have a pretty good idea which treatment regimens have a high likelihood of causing infertility. These treatments include radiation therapy, chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. That being said, there are many treatments that have a variable risk.
