A member asked:

If a child is allergic to mold, could he also be allergic to penicillin-based antibiotics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Good question. Being allergic to mold does not increase the risk of being allergic to penicillin based antibiotics. By extension. Penicillin allergic patients are not therefore allergic to blue cheese (which is a mold in the cheese).
