Get some education: Read books. Talk to people. Doctors are people so their advice will vary. If you asking if they approve, its none of their business, its yours. We as doctors must respect your choice and support you in protecting your health and your partners. I always take that viewpoint and most of my colleagues do to. Take heart we support you in your choice for health and happiness.

More info would help: I agree with Dr. Bhattacharya if you are concerned about being gay yourself but you sound like there may be a more specific question. Write back and let us know what you mean by young, are you referring to males or females, yourself or perhaps your kid. Relationships between humans are all unique and potentially very powerful, life changing events. If there is love its worth nurturing.
