A member asked:

Is accomadative dysfunction the same or just a form of nearsightedness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Accommodation dysfunction, or impairment of the normal ability to focus for near vision, is not the same as nearsighteness (myopia), which is blurry vision for the distance. They have different causes and are treated differently, albeit both can be treated with glasses.
