Stop worrying: If your immune system isn't horribly damaged from HIV or something similar, this is a transient diarrhea from which you recover in a few days, if you have symptoms at all.

Cryptosporidiosis : Cryptosporidiosis is infection w cryptosporidium parasites that embed in small intestine walls. Sx's usually begin 2 to 10 days after exposure (ave of 7 days) w watery diarrhea, abdominal pain/cramps, nausea, vomiting, fever, weight loss & dehydration that resolve w/in 1 to 2 wks. dx: acid-staining test of stool or biopsied intestinal tissue & enzyme immunoassays for antigens.
