How to build a baby's immune system to ward off infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many things!: Breastfeeding is one of the best things we can do to help our babies ward off infections. Of course hand washing and avoiding sick people also helps. Vaccines have been proven to help the immune system and should be given on the recommended schedule. There is growing evidence that probiotics help the immune system. Talk with your child's doctor if there are specific concerns.
