A member asked:

What is the difference between a fbg of 70 and that of 69, and could the fbg drop lower the longer you go w/o eating? when do you experience symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Symptoms may develop if you go a long time without eating. Diabetics are more susceptible to this if they take their meds and don't eat. Nondiabetics have effective regulatory mechanisms which help to regulate the blood sugar if you don't eat for a short period. Low blood sugar in the morning is normal because you haven't eaten overnight. No big difference between 69 ; 70.
