Hip pain: Hip dislocation is relatively rare, but serious. Symptoms include severe pain in the hip, worsening with leg movement. The leg on the affected side appears shorter than the other. There may be numbness or pain down the back of the thigh if the sciatic nerve is involved. A dislocated hip also makes the individual unable to walk.
