Lumbar spasm?: From what you are telling me this sounds like a lumbar spasm. However, it is best to see a healthcare professional to perform a proper history and physical exam. Lumbar spasm commonly presents with acute severe back pain sometimes associated with difficulty bending. With that being said, other spine problems can mimic a lumbar spasm which is why its best to see a doctor.
