Menningitis ?: Unless menigitis causes a lot of swelling we usually don't see cognitive changes unless these is spread to the brain itself (encephalitis) the exceptions include brain injury form a sustained high fever or problems related to seizures. Your starting point is to discuss this with your neurologist. He might want to refer you to a cogntive specialist (eg, behavioral neurologist or neuropsychologist).
