A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding NOT normal: Bleeding per rectum may originate in the anal canal, rectum, or further up. Frequent anal sources of bleeding include hemorrhoids ; fissures, but can also be seen with anal ; rectal cancer, infections, ischemic colitis, diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel, etc. Bleeding is never normal ; deserves prompt attention, evaluation, ; appropriate treatment to make it stop.
