Fibroids: Hi! the most common reason for a uterus to be enlarged is either adenomyosis or fibroids. Both are non-cancerous conditions that are very common and can develop with age and child bearing. The only way to get rid of these conditions is surgery. There are some medications that might shrink your uterus temporarily, depending upon how large it is and why.
