Ovulation: I am not sure how you are measuring your lh surge, but if you are having periods you are ovulating. Sperm must be left in the vagina during the five days before ovulation to cause pregnancy. Sperm left on the day of ovulation may or may not cause pregnancy. And sperm left after the day of ovulation are unlikely to cause pregnancy.
