Additionally, family history and the baby's feeding, sleeping and elimination patterns should be discussed. The baby should have a full examination including measurements of head, length and weight, and any questions or concerns you have should be addressed.

A heart exam is important to make sure your baby has not developed a heart murmur (this can develop even within days of birth).
