See below: Infiltrative heart disease refers to any condition in which materials produced by abnormal cell lines or abnormal metabolic processes lay down foreign material into the heart muscle itself, resulting in stiffening of the heart and leading many times to congestive heart failure or less often conduction abnormalities of the heart electrical system. Classic example is multiple myeloma.
